Boston Freedom Trail

Troop 122 will be visiting Boston and walking the Freedom Trail which is an in-city trail passing a number of landmarks/museums/points of interest.  We will be tent camping at:
Camp Sayre (map)
411 Unquity Rd
Milton, MA
It is approximately 25 minutes outside of Boston. We will take a train into Boston on Saturday morning.

The trip is open to families.  Just fill out the bottom portion of attached flyer and return to Troop 122 by 14 Apr 2016.  Scouts must still hand in a permission slip by 14 Apr 2016

The drive to Boston is approximately 5- 6 hours so Troop 122 will be leaving at 10am on Friday 29 Apr from the Port Monmouth VFW parking lot.   The attached early dismissal letter is provided so scouts will be able to turn in to school asking for an excused absence or early dismissal.

All attendees need to bring a bag lunch for the ride up to Boston.  The Troop will provide dinner on Friday night. The Troop will provide a continental breakfast on Saturday & Sunday morning.  Everyone must bring their own money for lunch and dinner and souvenirs while we are in Boston on Saturday. (We will not collect $15 per scout for this trip; scouts will manage their own money).

Family members will be responsible for their own transportation to Boston, train fare, bag lunch Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and any admission tickets should we stop to visit museums along the trail(TBD) and for bringing their own tents/equipment/gear.

For scouts & registered leaders, the Troop will pay for train fare and any admission to museums should we stop.
