Battleships and Corned Beef Photos

Remember that the photos will be in reverse order.
I did not attend the Pine Hill campout but Mr. Ramirez and Zabriskie sent me photos to which I added my own silly comments (adding value) and tweeting.  I WAS there at the VFW for the corned beef dinner - of courseIt was a fun time as you'll see!

How to Tie a Sheepshank

Hello, everyone,

At this week's troop meeting (March 17), we are going to be playing a game that involves tying the sheepshank, which none of you know how to tie. It will not be taught at the meeting, so it is necessary that everyone learns it.

Luckily, it will only take a few minutes to do so. Get out a piece of rope and learn along with this 1:33 minute YouTube video:

How to Tie the Sheepshank

Alternatively, search "How to Tie a Sheepshank" on YouTube and click the first video in the results.

Please do not be the person who shows up and did not watch the video. You will be an embarrassment.

Regards,

Dan Gruspier

New Popcorn Sale Coordinator Needed

Note:  We made a previous appeal but no one has responded.
Parents,
The person who has been coordinating our popcorn sales for the past few years will not be doing so again this fall. Therefore we need a new popcorn sale coordinator. I know that the sale of popcorn allows many of you to defray the cost of both troop dues and summer camp. If we do not have someone to run our popcorn sale next fall we will not be able top have a popcorn sale.

If you are interested in volunteering please contact either Jesse Ramirez or me or see one of use at the weekly meeting. You do not have to do this on your own - a group of people can get together to coordinate the sale.

Thank you,

Rich Klawunn
Chairman
Troop 122, Big Bears

Life to Eagle Workshop

Attention Life Scouts and Parents! Please join us on April 2nd at the Monmouth Council Service Center at 1pm for our popular Life To Eagle Scout Workshop. At this workshop, we will review all Eagle requirements and offer assistance in planning and completing the Eagle Service Project. This will ensure that parents and Scouts have the same information. The presentation will be 1:30pm - 4pm. The fee for the workshop is $5 per scout.

Please register online. This workshop is limited to the first 50 Scouts to register and pay online, and his parents.
